IT'S ABOUT HELPING OUR
DEEP ELLUM COMMUNITY
Deep Ellum 100 exists to preserve the beating heart of our community by supporting the artists, musicians, service workers, and small businesses that define this iconic neighborhood. In a place where culture runs deep and creativity knows no bounds, we recognize the immense challenges posed by economic hardships. Our mission is simple but vital: to uplift the people who give Deep Ellum its pulse.
Through our grassroots fundraising and community-driven efforts, we provide direct support to those most affected by financial struggles—ensuring that local artists can keep creating, musicians can keep playing, small businesses can keep their doors open, and service workers can continue to fuel the energy in the streets.
Founded on resilience and grit, Deep Ellum has always been a hub of innovation, diversity, and expression. Our mission is to honor that legacy, helping this unique cultural ecosystem not just survive but thrive. By investing in the people who make Deep Ellum what it is, we can ensure its creative spirit continues to flourish, even in the face of adversity.
After the global pandemic and winter storms, Deep Ellum’s small businesses, bars, and restaurants have been hit hard. The real backbone of this neighborhood—service workers, relying on wages and tips—have faced the brunt of this financial strain.
With their work disappearing and businesses closing, many service workers have endured unimaginable hardships. Since March 2020, Deep Ellum 100 has been raising funds to support those who make this community thrive. Our third fundraiser brought in $10,000, helping us to provide four $2,500 grants to help the people who live and work in Deep Ellum recover and rebuild.
